Job Description

We are looking for a Property Manager to support an affordable housing community in Columbus, Ohio. This is a fully onsite contract-to-permanent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual who can balance resident support, property operations, and regulatory compliance in a fast-moving environment. The role focuses on maintaining strong occupancy, guiding leasing activity, and helping ensure the community operates smoothly while meeting affordable housing standards.

Responsibilities:

• Direct day-to-day operations for the property, ensuring residents receive timely support and the community is maintained to high standards.

• Serve as a primary contact for residents by handling questions, resolving concerns, and fostering positive tenant relationships.

• Oversee leasing efforts from inquiry through move-in, with attention to occupancy goals and accurate documentation.

• Coordinate with maintenance staff and vendors to address service requests, monitor completion, and support quality property upkeep.

• Manage rent collection activities, follow up on outstanding balances, and maintain organized payment records.

• Prepare, review, and process certifications and recertifications in accordance with affordable housing program requirements.

• Maintain property files, operational records, and reporting within Yardi and Microsoft Office applications.

• Help enforce community policies and support compliance with HUD guidelines and other applicable housing regulations.• At least 3 years of experience in property management, including residential community oversight.

• Working knowledge of affordable housing programs and compliance standards, including HUD-related requirements.

• Experience handling leasing, resident communication, rent collection, and complaint resolution.

• Proficiency with Yardi and Microsoft Office Suite for documentation, tracking, and reporting.

• Strong administrative and organizational skills with close attention to detail.

• Demonstrated customer service skills and the ability to communicate professionally with residents, staff, and partners.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fully onsite, fast-paced setting.
