As a result of continued success, our client is seeking an Assistant Plant Controller to support financial operations, drive cost improvement initiatives, and partner closely with plant leadership to enhance profitability and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities
Partner with operations and plant leadership to analyze and improve manufacturing performance
Lead cost accounting activities, including product costing, inventory valuation, and variance analysis
Develop, maintain, and improve standard cost accounting methodologies
Analyze material, labor, and overhead costs while identifying opportunities for cost reduction
Support budgeting, forecasting, and annual operating plan development
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages
Monitor inventory controls and ensure compliance with GAAP accounting standards
Assist with month-end closing activities and financial reconciliations
Support ERP/MRP system optimization and reporting enhancements
Coordinate and facilitate internal controls, SOX compliance, and audit activities
Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic business decisions
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
3+ years of manufacturing accounting, cost accounting, or plant accounting experience
Strong understanding of inventory accounting, cost accounting, and financial analysis
Experience working within an ERP/MRP environment
Knowledge of GAAP and internal control processes
Advanced Excel and financial reporting skills
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities
