Job Description

About Atlantic Track & Turnout Co.

For more than six decades, Atlantic Track has been the trusted, employee owned partner behind railroads, transit systems, and crane runway projects. We manufacture, supply, and service specialty trackwork with a people first mindset and a relentless focus on quality. Your Day on the 2nd Shift

Arrive on-site in Richmond, Illinois and take the handoff at 3:00pm. You’ll review work orders and drawings, load material with an overhead crane, and set your CNC milling machine for the evening’s production. Throughout the shift you’ll monitor tool wear, tweak offsets to hold tolerance, and document inspections. At 1:30am, you’ll leave a clean, organized workstation and clear notes for the next crew. Training is conducted on 2nd shift, so you’ll learn the ropes right where you’ll work. What You’ll Do

Set up and operate CNC milling machines; establish and adjust work/tool offsets to maintain spec.

Keep a tidy, well-organized cell that’s safe and production-ready.

Assemble milling cutters to holders and change/index indexable inserts.

Use an overhead crane to load and unload parts safely.

Verify parts meet order specifications and quality standards; complete required inspection documentation.

Collaborate with programming, tooling, and maintenance support to resolve issues.

Model a positive, helpful attitude and support your teammates. Schedule

2nd shift, Monday–Thursday, 3:00pm–1:30am (training also on 2nd shift). Overtime may be available as needed. Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent (GED, HiSET, TASC, etc.).

Foundational machining and tooling knowledge (feeds, speeds, chip load); proficiency with CNC tooling.

Able to read and interpret production drawings/blueprints.

Comfortable using measuring devices (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).

Willing and able to support 2nd shift hours and work onsite in Richmond, Illinois.

Available for overtime when needed. Preferred Qualifications

Hands-on experience operating CNC milling equipment at any level.

Participation in continuous improvement activities. Benefits & Ownership

We offer competitive pay, a 401(k) with company match, health/dental/vision options, life insurance, paid time off, and an employee shared ownership plan—plus more. Equal Opportunity

We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
