Overview

Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, a nonprofit teaching hospital affiliated with George Washington School of Medicine and Health Sciences, is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Gastroenterologist to join Gastroenterology Associates.

This role offers the opportunity to practice advanced gastroenterology in a collaborative academic environment with access to state-of-the-art facilities, diverse patient populations, and robust clinical support.

Core Responsibilities

Diagnose and treat conditions involving the gastrointestinal (GI), hepatic, biliary, and pancreatic systems

Provide outpatient care and inpatient consults (rotating call schedule)

Perform and interpret endoscopic procedures (EGD, colonoscopy preferred)

Order and evaluate diagnostic tests, labs, and imaging

Manage chronic GI conditions and follow-up care plans

Supervise and teach residents, fellows, and medical students

Collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), nurses, and interdisciplinary teams

Participate in quality improvement, peer review, and clinical governance

Stay current with clinical guidelines, research, and emerging GI technologies

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $500,000 + performance-based incentives (RVU model)

Minimum Qualifications

MD or DO from an accredited medical school

Completion of Gastroenterology Fellowship

Board Eligible or Board Certified in Gastroenterology

Eligible for Maryland Medical License (unrestricted)

Active DEA and CDS licenses

BLS and ACLS certifications

Preferred:

Experience with EGD and colonoscopy procedures

Interest in academic medicine, teaching, or research
