Construction Inspector

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Perform field testing of construction materials (soils, concrete, asphalt, and steel);

Communicate with project managers and sub-contractors regarding inspection, observation, and testing results;

Transportation of sample materials for laboratory analysis;

Preparation of field data and technical reports; and

Travel to various construction sites to perform inspections with extensive travel to Columbus, OH.

Qualifications:

Nuclear Density Gauge Operator certification;

ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade 1; and

Prior experience with geotechnical and/or environmental field investigation highly preferred.

Preferred Certifications:

5+ years experience in field construction inspection and testing;

ICC Soils;

ICC Reinforced Concrete;

ICC Concrete Placement; and

ICC Structural Steel and Bolting.

Higher compensation than the amount listed below may be offered commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Hourly Pay Range

$28—$30 USD
