Responsibilities
Updates all patients' information.
Completes all information needed for interpretation.
Reports all malfunctions to manager or Bio-Med.
Relies on extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and effects of disease processes to properly and safety position the patient for maximum diagnostic yield.
Uses practical knowledge of anatomy for proper positioning to obtain maximum diagnostic information, as evidenced by image taken.
Speaks with patient to ascertain pertinent history associated with requested exam.
Understands and is able to utilize all x-ray rooms in main department.
Verification of information (to include reading and verifying physician written order) and exams performed, using CR, DR, and PACs immediately after completing exams.
Attends all required safety training programs and can describe his/her responsibilities related to general safety, department/service safety, and specific job related hazards.
Qualifications
EDUCATION: Must be a graduate of an approved two year program. Graduate from an AMA approved school of Radiology Technology. Certification by the American Registry of Radiology Technology.
EXPERIENCE: Requires a minimum of one (1) year of experience. Will consider new grads
LICENSURE: Must possess RI license and ARRT certification CPR certification (BLS) required
