• Collaborate with business stakeholders, clients, and end users to gather, analyse, and document business, functional, and technical requirements for enterprise software applications and information systems.

• Translate business requirements into comprehensive logical and physical architecture specifications that support organizational objectives and technology standards.

• Research, evaluate, and recommend emerging technologies, frameworks, platforms, and architectural solutions to improve application performance, scalability, security, and reliability.

• Design, develop, and validate enterprise, web-based, cloud, and mobile application architectures using industry best practices and modern software development methodologies.

• Develop and maintain data models, process flows, system integration diagrams, and network architecture models to optimize system efficiency, interoperability, and overall performance.

• Plan, design, coordinate, and oversee the development, implementation, integration, deployment, and ongoing operation of software applications and enterprise information systems.

• Define application architecture standards, technical specifications, coding guidelines, and governance frameworks to ensure consistency, maintainability, and regulatory compliance.

• Conduct architecture reviews, technical feasibility studies, risk assessments, and solution evaluations to support strategic technology initiatives.

• Design and implement secure, scalable, and high-availability application environments while ensuring compliance with cybersecurity, privacy, and organizational policies.

• Assess, test, troubleshoot, document, enhance, and optimize operating systems, application software, middleware, APIs, and communication environments to improve system functionality and reliability.

• Develop and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, system design specifications, implementation plans, and operational procedures.

• Coordinate system integration activities, including database connectivity, third-party APIs, cloud services, and enterprise platforms to ensure seamless interoperability.

• Establish software maintenance strategies, disaster recovery plans, system monitoring processes, and performance optimization procedures to support business continuity.

• Lead architecture planning sessions, provide technical leadership, and mentor software developers, system analysts, and other information technology professionals throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, cybersecurity specialists, database administrators, quality assurance teams, and infrastructure engineers, to deliver integrated technology solutions.

• Review application code, conduct technical design reviews, and ensure adherence to architectural principles, software quality standards, and organizational best practices.

• Support Agile, Scrum, or DevOps development methodologies by participating in sprint planning, technical backlog refinement, solution design, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Monitor application performance, identify opportunities for optimization, and recommend enhancements that improve scalability, user experience, and operational efficiency.

• Evaluate and implement cloud-based solutions, microservices architecture, containerization technologies, and enterprise integration patterns where appropriate.

• Ensure software solutions comply with organizational policies, industry standards, accessibility requirements, and applicable regulatory frameworks.

1. Strong educational foundation and broad technical skill base.

2. A bachelor's degree, usually in computer science, computer systems, engineering, software engineering or mathematics or completion of a college program in computer science is required.

3. A minimum of 5 years of experience in the P&C Insurance domain.

4. Should have strong analytical skills to develop, maintain, and enhance P&C insurance software applications.

• Terms of employment: Full-time, Non-seasonal, Permanent position.

● Hours per week: 32 Hours/week

● Working schedule (regular Monday – Friday or per need basis)

Monday – Friday 9 am – 5 pm, additional working hours as per company requirements; language of work: English

● Wage: CAD$ 110,656 + CAD/annum (66$ CAD/HR)
