Job Description

We are looking for a bilingual (Spanish and English speaking preferred) Medical Assistant with experience in both clinical and administrative duties. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with direct patient care and administrative tasks, including but not limited to:

Key Responsibilities:

Administer allergy shots (immunotherapy) and injections as directed by healthcare providers

Conduct allergy testing (skin testing, patch testing, etc) and pulmonary function tests (PFTs)

Record and document patient medical history and vital signs accurately in the electronic medical records system (EMR)

Assist physicians and nurses during patient exams and procedures

Educate patients on allergy testing, treatment plans, and proper medication usage

Manage appointment scheduling, patient intake, and phone triage

Handle front desk administrative tasks such as check-in, check-out, and insurance verification

Coordinate patient referrals, authorizations, and prescription refills

Maintain the cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and medical supplies

Perform other administrative and clinical tasks as needed to ensure smooth clinic operations

Qualifications:

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred

Bilingual in Spanish and English strongly preferred

Prior experience in an allergy or asthma clinic is a plus

Knowledge of allergy testing, pulmonary function testing, and immunotherapy is preferred

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Proficient in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environmentCompany Description
