Our client, a well-established construction company, is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to oversee the full finance function and provide strategic financial support to the business. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, cashflow management, statutory compliance, and ensuring strong financial controls across the organisation.

Salary and Benefits:

Main Responsibilities:

Oversee the full finance function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts.

Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and cashflow projections.

Manage working capital, treasury, banking relationships, and cashflow.

Ensure compliance with ZIMRA, VAT, PAYE, NSSA, NEC, and all statutory requirements.

Coordinate annual audits and liaise with external auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities.

Oversee payroll, fixed assets, inventory, and cost control processes.

Monitor project costs, profitability, and financial performance across construction projects.

Implement and maintain strong financial controls, policies, and procedures.

Provide financial analysis and strategic recommendations to senior management.

Supervise and mentor the finance team, ensuring high levels of performance and accuracy.

Support procurement and operational teams with financial planning and cost management.

Key Skills:

Strong financial management and reporting skills.

Sound knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow management.

Excellent understanding of Zimbabwean statutory and tax requirements.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent leadership and team management skills.

High level of integrity and attention to detail.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Proficiency in accounting systems (Pastel, Sage, Xero, QuickBooks or similar) and Microsoft Excel.

Qualifications:

Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, CA(Z), or equivalent is advantageous.

Minimum 5 years' experience in finance.

Previous experience within the construction, engineering, manufacturing, or project-based environment is highly preferred.

Experience managing project costing, cashflow, and statutory compliance.

Strong understanding of corporate governance and internal controls.
