MEMS Design Engineer is responsible for new MEMS devices from sensor architecture to mass production. This position involves mechanical modeling, design, hands-on characterization, and debugging of new devices. The successful candidate is detail oriented and experienced in MEMS design.

As an employee, you will:

Develop new MEMS Gyroscope and Accelerometer IP from sensor architecture to product release

Perform FEA modeling including MEMS and Package using FEA softwares and other tools

Perform system level design and modeling of MEMS and CMOS using Matlab and other tools

Interface with CMOS designers to define and optimize both MEMS and interface electronics

Support test development by collaborating with test engineers and providing theoretical support for test routines

Perform bench level testing and debugging of new MEMS devices

Support Chip level design, layout and verification

Write invention disclosures leading to patents for new devices

Support customer requests

Support and train new employees in the MEMS design group and employees in other groups

Collaborate with teams in USA, Taiwan, Italy and other countries

Perform other duties and tasks that may be assigned from time to time

Minimum Requirements:

PhD or MS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or Physics

3-5 years of MEMS motion sensor industry experience

Experience designing MEMS gyroscope, accelerometer, resonator, or similar electrostatic MEMS device

Strong desire to learn new things and collaborate with other individuals

Effective interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills.

Proven track record of problem solving

Ability to drive projects to completion and propose workflow improvements

Thorough understanding of electrostatic actuators and capacitive sensing

Experience with finite element modeling (ex. ANSYS) of MEMS sensor

Ability to layout MEMS devices using L-Edit or similar tools

Ability to debug and characterize MEMS using spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc.

Theoretical understanding of multi-DOF mechanical modeling and simulation

Perform other duties and tasks that may be assigned from time to time

Desired Requirements:

Ability to analyze data with Python or similar language

Familiarity with electronics and integrated circuits

Familiarity with MEMS fabrication

Experience with package modeling for MEMS sensor

The compensation package offered for this position is the following:

Average RAL (Gross Annual Salary) from 50 to 60K €.

Variable compensation depending on Personal and Corporate performances: of up to 30%

The salary range is relative to the specified job grade offered, which may vary based on the candidate's actual experience.
