Sr AI Engineer

A client of Insight Global is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to support their Commercial Operations initiatives by building scalable AI-driven solutions and delivering production-ready AI agents on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) by Q4.

This role focuses on hands-on development of integrations, connectivity, prompt engineering, and event-driven flows, with solutions deployed on GCP. It also includes establishing a scalable support model and rapidly translating ideas into reusable solutions in a fast-paced, regulated environment. The role involves building and maintaining AI agents, leveraging prompt engineering, and collaborating with governance, innovation, architecture, and cloud teams to deliver secure, compliant, and scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Build AI-enabled applications, APIs, and automation solutions end-to-end

Develop agent workflows, prompt patterns, and evaluation frameworks

Create prototypes and reusable components

Design scalable backend services, APIs, and integrations

Implement event-driven solutions and CI/CD pipelines

Integrate with enterprise systems and ensure secure coding practices

Collaborate to deliver high-quality innovation solutions

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

8-12+ years of software engineering experience utilizing Java or Python

Strong full-stack development experience (API, backend, UI)

Experience with Kubernetes, cloud deployments, and DevOps

Hands-on experience building AI-enabled applications

Need strong experience building integrations to support AI enablement and prompt engineering

Strong experience with GCP (Google Cloud Platform)

Vertex AI, Cloud Run

Proven ability to build scalable APIs and integrations

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Prior Banking experience

Any related certifications
