Under the direction of the Director of Special Education, the Program Specialist works cooperatively with administration and
staff in supporting students with disabilities. The Program Specialist should demonstrate foresight, examine issues and take
initiatives to improve the quality of education in the community. The Program Specialist should embrace and encourage the
acceptance of diversity while using effective people skills to communicate. The Program Specialist ensures all students with
disabilities in the Newman - Crows Landing Unified School District are provided a free and appropriate public education
through the provision of instructional programs and related services.
