Jr AI Engineer

A client of Insight Global is seeking a Jr AI Engineer to build a scalable AI support model, transition Participant Notice to Commercial IT, and deliver GCP agents ready for production in Q4. This role focuses on hands-on development of integrations, APIs, and AI-driven solutions using modern cloud technologies like GCP. The engineer will work on building and supporting AI-enabled applications, learning prompt engineering, and contributing to scalable solutions in a fast-paced, regulated environment. The role includes supporting AI agents, developing basic prompt patterns, and collaborating with senior engineers and cross-functional teams (architecture, cloud, governance) to deliver secure and reliable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and support AI-enabled applications, APIs, and automation solutions

Assist in building AI agents, workflows, and prompt patterns

Contribute to prototypes and reusable components

Support backend service and API development

Assist in implementing event-driven solutions and CI/CD pipelines

Integrate with enterprise systems following secure coding practices

Collaborate with teams to deliver quality solutions and learn best practices

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

2-4+ years of software engineering experience

Programming experience in Java, Python, or JavaScript

Basic understanding of API and backend development

Basic Prompt Engineering & AI Model Integration

Understanding of AI/ML concepts and agent-based systems

Knowledge of Cloud fundamentals (GCP preferred - Cloud Run, basics of Azure/AWS)

Understanding of DevOps concepts and cloud deployments

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Prior Banking experience

Any related certifications
