Support Service Assistant – Interpreter

Under the supervision of a Rehabilitation Supervisor, the Support Service Assistant – Interpreter (SSA-I) performs the following duties to assist a Senior Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor – Rehabilitation Counselor for the Deaf and/or Hard of Hearing. The SSA-I must be courteous and tactful while working cooperatively with others. The SSA-I must continue to develop ASL/Interpreter skills and Deaf/HH culture awareness.

Under Government Code 14200, this position is a hybrid, in-office/telework position, and may be subject to change. Incumbents must live and work in California. Incumbent can be required to report to the office, or any designated location at any time. Telework agreements can be modified and/or cancelled at any time.
