Senior Engineer, Water Resources (Specialist)

Under the direction of the Delta Resiliency Branch Manager in the Division of Multibenefit Initiatives, the Senior Engineer, as a non-supervisory specialist, will perform complex engineering work in support of various engineering, feasibility, and planning activities for implementing large multi-benefit flood system improvement and habitat mitigation/enhancement projects in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta. The incumbent is required to work cooperatively and independently with a wide variety of Department specialists; staff of local, State, and federal agencies; technical consultants; stakeholders; and the general public. Assignments may be diverse, with some broadly scoped, and can have short timelines with steadfast due dates. Duties include a mix of office and field work requiring some travel.
