Principal Compliance Representative – Project And Technical Lead

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Principal Compliance Representative – Project and Technical Lead, supporting the PIT Manual Process and ARRT programs within the Statewide Collection Bureau (SCB) at the Franchise Tax Board.

What You Will Do In this role, under the general supervision of an Assistant Bureau Director, you will: • Serve as the technical program expert over the Tax Account Resolution Section. • Guide staff on the most complex, sensitive PIT and BE collection cases. • Review and resolve high-dollar, high-risk, or legally sensitive accounts. • Develop and recommend policies, procedures, and compliance strategies. • Provide training, mentoring, and technical support to staff. • Lead bureau and division wide projects that improve operations and taxpayer service. • Contribute to program evaluation and quality assurance efforts. • Collaborate with leadership and partners across FTB on program improvements. • Represent the bureau in discussions requiring advanced compliance expertise.
