Aerospace Engineer

We are seeking an Aerospace Engineer to provide hands-on engineering support within a production environment. This role focuses on resolving manufacturing and quality issues, supporting day-to-day operations, and implementing process improvements that enhance product quality, efficiency, and compliance. The ideal candidate is comfortable working directly with manufacturing teams and has experience in aerospace production environments.

Key responsibilities include providing engineering support to manufacturing operations by addressing production and quality-related issues on the shop floor, investigating, documenting, and dispositioning nonconforming materials, maintaining and updating production and quality documentation within SAP, reviewing, revising, and improving manufacturing work instructions, process documentation, and verification plans, documenting and communicating quality concerns, customer feedback, and manufacturing findings to appropriate cross-functional teams, identifying opportunities to improve tooling, manufacturing methods, and production processes to increase efficiency and product quality, preparing technical documentation to communicate manufacturing issues and support material planning and production scheduling, serving as a technical resource for production personnel by interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, component information, assembly procedures, torque requirements, and approved materials, partnering with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Production teams to resolve technical issues and support ongoing manufacturing initiatives, participating in root cause investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement efforts to enhance manufacturing performance, and supporting production operations across multiple shifts as business needs require, including first or second shift schedules.

Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering discipline, minimum of four years of engineering experience within a manufacturing environment, experience supporting aerospace or aircraft manufacturing operations, working knowledge of aircraft components, manufacturing processes, and production workflows, experience using SAP or comparable enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing documentation, strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills, excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across engineering, quality, and production organizations, and being self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
