About the Company

Our client is a well established organization in the El Paso area known for stability, strong leadership, and a collaborative work culture. They are seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team in a direct hire capacity. This individual will play a key role in daily accounting operations, month end close, financial reporting, and process improvement.

Position Overview

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of financial information by performing complex accounting tasks, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and supporting leadership with accurate and timely reporting. This role is ideal for someone who is detail oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and execute month end and year end close processes

Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and supporting schedules

Reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank, balance sheet, and intercompany accounts

Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation entries

Support external audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries

Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies

Review and improve accounting processes to increase efficiency and accuracy

Assist with AP/AR oversight as needed

Provide financial insights and recommendations to management

Participate in special projects and strategic initiatives

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CPA track preferred)

4–7+ years of progressive accounting experience

Strong understanding of GAAP

Experience with month end close, financial reporting, and reconciliations

Proficiency in Excel and modern accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle)

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Experience in manufacturing, distribution, healthcare, or similar industries is a plus
