We are looking for a Payroll Specialist to support payroll operations for a high-volume manufacturing environment. This long-term contract position is ideal for someone who can manage payroll accurately for a large hourly workforce while providing dependable coverage for timekeeping needs. The role works a regular Monday through Friday schedule and plays an important part in maintaining smooth, timely payroll processing for approximately 1,000 hourly employees.

Responsibilities:

• Process end-to-end payroll for a large population of hourly employees with a strong focus on accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.

• Provide backup support for daily timekeeping activities to ensure coverage when other team members are unavailable.

• Review employee time records, pay adjustments, attendance details, and exception reports before payroll is finalized.

• Coordinate payroll-related updates within UKG and maintain accurate employee pay data.

• Respond to payroll and timekeeping questions from employees and internal departments in a timely and detail-focused manner.

• Help manage vacation and paid time off documentation, including support for moving from paper-based requests to online submission processes.

• Assist with payroll audits, reporting, and recordkeeping to support internal controls and operational consistency.

• Hands-on experience processing full-cycle payroll from data review through final payroll completion.

• Proven background working with UKG or Kronos in a payroll environment.

• Experience supporting payroll for large employee populations, including workforces of more than 500 employees.

• Strong understanding of payroll practices for hourly employees, including timekeeping review and pay accuracy.

• High attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting with consistent deadlines.

• Strong communication and organizational skills to support employees and coordinate with internal teams.
