We are currently seeking a Cook to join our culinary team and help provide nutritious, delicious meals to those we serve.Position Overview:
As a Cook at Forest Glen, you will play a vital role in preparing and serving meals that meet the dietary needs of our residents while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. Prepare and cook well-balanced, tasty meals in accordance with facility menus and resident needs
Maintain proper food safety and sanitation standards at all times
Ensure timely meal preparation and service
Collaborate with the dietary team to address special diets and preferences
Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and in compliance with regulatory standards
Monitor inventory and assist with ordering supplies as neededQualifications:
Prior cooking experience in healthcare, institutional, or food service preferred
Understanding of food safety and sanitation protocols
Ability to cook in large volumes without sacrificing quality
Team-oriented attitude with good communication skills
Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as scheduled
