Wet Paint - 3rd Shift

Job Title

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Apply wet paint coatings to metal parts using spray guns and related painting equipment.

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, masking, and sanding parts to ensure proper paint adhesion and finish quality.

Mix and prepare paints, thinners, and coatings according to specifications.

Load, unload, hang, and remove parts from carts, racks, and conveyors.

Operate paint booths, curing ovens, and associated paint equipment.

Use forklifts, hoists, and other material-handling equipment to move parts and materials.

Inspect painted parts for defects such as runs, sags, thin coverage, or contamination.

Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of paint equipment and booths.

Follow all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

Knowledge of wet paint systems, coatings, and application techniques.

Familiarity with safety procedures related to paints, solvents, and hazardous materials.

Experience operating spray equipment, paint booths, and curing ovens.

Ability to read and follow work instructions, paint specifications, and safety data sheets (SDS).

Ability to identify and correct quality and safety issues.
