CNC Lathe Operator
We're seeking a CNC Lathe Operator who is interested in growing into setup and programming. This is a direct hire opportunity with a stable manufacturing company that offers hands-on training and the chance to develop additional machining skills. This is a low-volume, high-mix environment where flexibility is important. Rather than running the same part all day, you'll perform frequent setups and work in other manufacturing areas as production needs change. Responsibilities
Set up and operate 2-axis CNC lathes (Hardinge & YCM)
Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and part specifications
Perform 2-5 machine setups per day in a low-volume production environment
Inspect parts using precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and dial indicators
Make tool wear offsets and minor program edits as needed
Verify first-piece quality and maintain tight tolerances throughout production
Assist in other manufacturing areas when machining demand is lower
Maintain a safe, organized work area
Qualifications
Experience operating CNC lathes; setup experience preferred
Candidates with solid CNC operator experience who are eager to learn setup and programming are encouraged to apply
Experience with Fanuc controls preferred
Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments
Basic understanding of G-code/M-code edits is a plus
Experience machining stainless steel is helpful
Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
