Assistant Computer Officer
The appointee will work primarily as a Programmer/Analyst in the development and maintenance of the University’s key administrative systems. Duties include (a) designing, developing, and maintaining the University-wide in-house developed systems and the ERP administrative systems; (b) providing assistance in conducting system testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues; (c) providing technical support, assistance and training to end-users; (d) building data analytics to support top management’s decision-making process; and (e) staying updated with the latest programming trends and technologies.
Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline; (ii) good analytical and problem-solving skills; (iii) a quality-conscious mindset; (iv) a track record as a good team player; (v) self-motivation; and (vi) a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese. Having knowledge of and work experience in large-scale enterprise resource systems such as PeopleSoft Campus Solution, PeopleSoft HCM or SAP; database management systems such as Oracle Database or MS SQL Server; and development platforms such as ASP.Net, Power BI and AI, will be advantageous.
Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
