Work Location: Various residential and commercial construction sites throughout the Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM), Nova Scotia. Employees may report to the employer's office at 2973 Oxford Street, Halifax, NS, as required.

Job Summary

Red Pearl Contracting Ltd. is seeking a reliable and motivated Cladding Installer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will install exterior cladding systems on residential and commercial buildings while ensuring high-quality workmanship, compliance with building specifications, and adherence to workplace safety standards. This position requires the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and travel to different project sites within the Halifax Regional Municipality.

Responsibilities

Measure, cut, fit, and install exterior cladding materials according to project specifications and construction drawings.

Install exterior siding, cladding panels, trims, flashings, weather barriers, and related building envelope components.

Prepare work surfaces for installation, including sealing, caulking, waterproofing, and weatherproofing as required.

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and installation specifications.

Operate and maintain hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.

Load, unload, move, and position construction materials and equipment.

Perform material layout and ensure accurate alignment and fastening of exterior systems.

Work safely on ladders, scaffolding, aerial lifts, and other elevated work platforms when required.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Follow all company safety policies, provincial regulations, and site-specific safety procedures.

Collaborate effectively with supervisors and other trades to complete projects on schedule.

Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards and manufacturer specifications are met.

Qualifications

Minimum 6 months of experience in cladding installation, siding installation, exterior finishing, carpentry, or a related construction trade.

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

Experience using hand tools and power tools commonly used in construction.

Knowledge of weatherproofing, flashing, and caulking techniques is considered an asset.

Ability to safely lift and carry heavy construction materials.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Reliable transportation to various job sites within the Halifax Regional Municipality is considered an asset.

Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.

Working Conditions

Outdoor work in varying weather conditions.

Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, climbing, and lifting.

Travel between residential and commercial job sites within the Halifax Regional Municipality.

Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as required.
