About the role:
As a Senior Fitter, you will be responsible for positioning, aligning, fabricating, and assembling metal components and structures in accordance with engineering drawings and technical specifications. The role includes preparation of components for welding and, where applicable, assembly of nuclear components within the Clean Condition Room (CCR). You will contribute directly to manufacturing quality, safety, and efficiency within a highly regulated nuclear fabrication environment. This is a full-time, individual contributor position, performed 100% onsite.
You will report to the Nuclear Fabrication Manager and be located in Monfalcone, Italy. This role is fully onsite.
Key Responsibilities:
Position, align, and assemble metal components (e.g. shells, top and bottom heads, nozzles) using hand tools and equipment according to drawings and layout specifications
Verify conformity of assembled and prepared parts against drawings and technical requirements using appropriate measuring instruments
Read and interpret technical documentation (drawings, assembly sequences, WPS) to assemble fabricated structures and prepare joints for welding
Handle and position manufactured parts manually or using lifting equipment such as hoists and overhead cranes
Perform shaping, cutting, chamfering, grinding, drilling, and bending activities required for component assembly
Assemble components in the Clean Condition Room (CCR) when applicable
Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards related to safety, quality, risk, and security
Qualifications:
Education:
Diploma from a professional school or technical high school
Senior level requires minimum 5 years of experience as a Fitter
Italian and/or English fluency
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The gross base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be €30.000 to €38.500 per year.
