Salary: Starting at $90,000 per year, based on experience

Overview

We are seeking a Project Manager to oversee the successful execution of modular construction projects from early planning and design through manufacturing and final installation. This role serves as the primary point of coordination between clients, design teams, manufacturing, field operations, and project stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

This position may be based onsite or in a hybrid work environment. Candidates should be located within the Greater Los Angeles or Bakersfield area and be available to travel to a manufacturing facility in Tejon Ranch, CA, as well as project sites throughout the Los Angeles region when needed.

Candidates with either project management or design backgrounds are encouraged to apply. This is not a senior-level position, and Assistant Project Managers with relevant modular construction experience are welcome to be considered. A minimum of three years of experience in modular or off-site construction is required.

Key Responsibilities

Manage projects from preconstruction through manufacturing and site installation.

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Coordinate project schedules, budgets, milestones, and deliverables to ensure successful execution.

Review architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection drawings for coordination and constructability.

Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, and manufacturing teams to resolve design and construction issues.

Oversee RFIs, submittals, plan revisions, change orders, and project documentation.

Support value engineering initiatives and identify opportunities to improve project efficiency and cost effectiveness.

Coordinate procurement schedules and material takeoffs to support manufacturing timelines.

Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement solutions to keep projects on track.

Maintain comprehensive project records, reports, schedules, and meeting documentation.

Prepare weekly and monthly project status reports.

Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and applicable building codes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.

PMP or other Project Management certification is a plus.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in modular or off-site construction is required.

Experience managing projects through design, permitting, manufacturing, and installation.

Candidates with project management or design experience will be considered.

Assistant Project Managers with the appropriate industry background are encouraged to apply.

Strong understanding of construction drawings and project coordination.

Experience with single-family and multifamily construction is preferred.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.

Experience using project management software such as Autodesk Build, Procore, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms.

Knowledge of estimating, material takeoffs, scheduling, and project controls.

Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
