Position Type: Locum tenens / contract CRNA (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist) - General anesthesia, locum tenens anesthesia job

Weekly Estimated Pay: $7,530 - $7,930 (competitive locum CRNA pay)

Schedule: 8-hour days (7am-3pm), Monday-Friday - consistent weekday hours ideal for locum CRNA candidates

Shifts per Week: 5 (40 hours/week)

Call Schedule: Weekday call 3pm-7am; weekend call 7am-7am; 7 call days in a 3-week rotation

Call Response Time: 20 minutes

Start Dates: Multiple dates available: May 26-29, June 22-26, July 18-19, September 5-6, October 12-18, November 2-8, 21-29, Dec 5-14 and ongoing

Credentialing: 60-90 days (temporary privileges may be available with clear background and malpractice history)

EMR System: Medaxion (experience with Medaxion EMR preferred)

Team: 3 CRNAs supporting 6 operating rooms - collaborative anesthesia team

Location: Chanute, KS - Southeast Kansas community with affordable housing, parks, and easy access to outdoor recreation Qualifications / Job Requirements

Minimum 2 years of CRNA clinical experience providing general anesthesia (required for locum CRNA roles)

Active, unrestricted Kansas CRNA license or ability to obtain Kansas licensure (Kansas CRNA jobs eligibility)

Provider must be enrolled in Kansas Patient Compensation Fund

AHA-issued certifications required (BLS and other AHA certificates as applicable)

NRP certification required

Proof of case logs for epidurals, spinals, and peripheral nerve blocks required (regional anesthesia experience)

Experience with Medaxion EMR preferred Responsibilities

Provide high-quality general anesthesia care across a diverse surgical case mix: Endoscopy, OB/GYN, Pediatrics, Urology, ENT, General Surgery, Upper Extremity Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, Robotics, and Podiatry

Perform spinals, epidurals, and regional blocks (peripheral nerve blocks) as indicated and documented in case logs

Manage perioperative anesthesia care, patient safety, and continuity of care - key responsibilities for CRNA and anesthesia providers

Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Medaxion EMR

Participate in scheduled call rotation and respond within 20 minutes when on call

Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiology colleagues, nursing staff, and perioperative teams to optimize patient outcomes Why Join This Locum Tenens Anesthesia Team
