QMHP - School-Based Mental Health Counselor Job in Enterprise, Oregon

Join our team as a QMHP - School-Based Mental Health Counselor in Enterprise, Oregon, providing school-based mental health services and outpatient behavioral health counseling in a 40-week on-site contract. Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,309 - $1,455

Location: Enterprise, Oregon

Setting: School-based mental health and outpatient behavioral health services

Start Date: 8/17/2026

Duration: 40-week contract

Schedule: 4 shifts per week

Shift Duration: 8-hour days

Hours: 32 hours per week

Work Arrangement: On-site Job Requirements

Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related human services field

Certified Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) or willingness to obtain QMHP certification in Oregon

At least 1 year of relevant mental health counseling, school counseling, or behavioral health experience

Experience working with an electronic health record (EHR)

Knowledge of de-escalation techniques or willingness to complete training

Experience conducting crisis debriefs

Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check

Current driver's license and ability to meet driving background requirements

Experience working with underserved populations preferred Responsibilities

Provide on-site school-based mental health services in one to two county schools, including screenings, counseling, and educational support for students

Deliver outpatient mental health services during school breaks, including individual counseling, family counseling, mental health assessments, and treatment planning

Maintain communication with teachers, parents, school staff, and community providers for screening, referral, and care coordination

Document all client contacts and service activity accurately in the electronic health record

Prepare and deliver trainings for students and school staff on social, emotional, and behavioral health topics

Support violence prevention reporting processes and collaborate with school staff on intervention planning

Serve as a resource for suicide prevention, intervention, and crisis support

Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop individualized treatment plans in accordance with applicable guidelines

Provide evidence-based counseling interventions and monitor client progress throughout treatment

Coordinate care with healthcare providers, schools, families, and community resources to support client needs

Complete discharge documentation and recommendations when treatment goals are met or services are no longer needed
