After-School Program Leader

We are hiring for the 2026-27 school year! This posting is for our After-School program located in all Immokalee elementary school campuses.

The Program Leader will work in conjunction with the Tutors to provide a safe and nurturing environment in which developmentally appropriate practices are employed and students are gaining the needed academic assistance in the required areas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Works to meet the diverse needs of the children within the classroom utilizing cognitive, physical, social, and emotional developmentally appropriate practices

Assists children individually or in small groups in order to help those master assignments, and to reinforce learning concepts presented in their regular school day

Utilizes appropriate instructional methodologies for the individual children and for the group

Responds to all student needs both academic and social

Monitors changes in student behavior and report suspicions of abuse/neglect to Site Supervisor IMMEDIATELY

Actively engaged with children during recreational activities encouraging and monitoring at all times

Communicates positively with tutors and other staff, both Guadalupe and school personnel, regarding concerns related to the students in their care and their academic progress

Insures a warm, secure, social and emotional climate with respect for young children is maintained in and outside of the classroom

Follows all local, state, and federal laws related to supervising children in their care

Works on scheduled days and will abide by call-off procedures set by Site Supervisor

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work cooperatively with others

Team Player

Ability to pass Level 2 FBI background check and pre-employment drug screening

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or equivalent

Experience working with school-aged children a plus

Working Conditions

Typically, an indoor classroom environment

Exposure to outdoor environment

May be exposed to short, intermittent, and/or prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing in performance of job duties

Minimal lifting may be required not to exceed 25 pounds
