Maintenance Technician - Part Time With Weekend Requirements

At Three Rivers Treatment Center, our Maintenance Team plays a vital role in creating a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for the adolescents we serve. We are seeking a dependable, skilled Maintenance Technician who takes pride in quality workmanship and enjoys solving problems while supporting a mission-driven organization. Every repair you complete helps provide a safe place for healing.

As a Maintenance Technician, you will perform a variety of maintenance and repair duties throughout our residential treatment facility, including:

Install, repair, and maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, doors, locks, and other building systems.

Perform drywall repairs, painting, and general carpentry.

Complete preventive maintenance to ensure facility equipment and systems remain in excellent working condition.

Troubleshoot maintenance issues and respond promptly to repair requests.

Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe manner.

Assist with facility improvements and special maintenance projects.

Follow all safety policies and applicable regulatory requirements.

Support a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for youth, staff, and visitors.

Qualifications Required:

High School Diploma or GED.

Must be at least 19 years of age in accordance with the Commonwealth of Virginia Interdepartmental Regulations for Children's Residential Facilities.

Valid Virginia driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Experience safely operating hand and power tools.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical manuals.

Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.

Physical Requirements:

Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.

Climb ladders, kneel, bend, crawl, and work in confined spaces as needed.

Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Respond to maintenance emergencies as required.

Working Environment:

This position primarily works in a well-lit, climate-controlled healthcare environment while also performing duties throughout the facility and on the surrounding grounds.
