Responsibilities:
Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, and mobility
Safely transfer, transport, and reposition residents using appropriate equipment and techniques
Obtain and record vital signs and weights as directed
Maintain resident dignity, privacy, confidentiality, and rights at all times
Assist with admissions, discharges, and restorative nursing activities
Observe and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff
Maintain clean, safe, and organized resident rooms and care areas
Follow infection control practices, safety procedures, and facility policies
Collaborate with nursing staff and interdisciplinary team members to provide high-quality resident care
Perform additional duties within the CNA scope of practice as assigned
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
Valid NYS Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certification required
Experience working in a skilled nursing facility or with a geriatric population preferred
Strong communication, customer service, and teamwork skills
Compassionate, resident-centered approach to care
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
