Sometimes what someone needs is a bed.
Sometimes what they need is a bus pass.
Sometimes what they need is someone to say, “I’ve been there. You’re not crazy. You’re not weak. You can get through this.”
We stay with people until resolution whenever possible—even if it requires a structured shift handoff between team members. The goal is continuity, not abandonment.
