Join our dynamic team as a Traffic Control Technician and play a vital role in ensuring safety and efficiency on construction sites and roadwork projects. In this energetic position, you will be responsible for directing traffic, setting up safety signage, and assisting heavy equipment operators to maintain smooth workflow. Your proactive approach will help protect workers, motorists, and pedestrians while supporting the successful completion of infrastructure projects. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in heavy equipment operation and construction safety.

This role involves managing lane closures throughout New York, New Jersey, Delaware, and Pennsylvania. The compensation structure is as follows:

- Starting Rate: $17 per hour.

- One Month: Increases to $18 per hour after all required documentation has been submitted

- 60 Days: Upon running your own crews, the rate moves to $20 per hour.

- Six Months: After obtaining TCC certification and moving to STCC classification, the rate increases to $25 per hour

- Prevailing Wage: We also offer prevailing wage opportunities starting at $100.00 per hour.

Please note that this is a full-time, on-call position with shifts that vary between days and nights each week. Candidates must be available for both day and night work

Duties

Set up and maintain traffic control devices such as signs, cones, barrels, and barriers to guide vehicles and pedestrians safely around construction zones

Direct traffic flow using hand signals or flagging equipment to ensure safety for workers and the public

Assist with the operation of heavy construction equipment including dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, front loader trucks, dump trucks, and paving machinery when necessary

Conduct utility locating to identify underground utilities before excavation or construction activities begin

Support construction crews by providing safe access routes and coordinating vehicle movements on-site

Monitor work zones continuously to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies

Maintain detailed records of daily activities, safety inspections, and equipment usage

Qualifications

Valid Drivers License with less then points

Availability to work days and nights and very little weekends

Able to carry 30lbs over your head

Able to get into a truck and out of a truck

English is the first language learned

Have own vehicle to arrive to our hub

Can pass random drug tests, even marijuana
