Facility Location: Reports to the Director of Therapy at Mill Run - 3399 Mill Run Drive, Hilliard, OH 43026. This role requires local travel to facilities throughout the Greater Columbus area.
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday
General Summary:
Provides occupational therapy treatment according to established treatment plans under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. Contributes to the development, implementation, progression, and modification of patient treatment plans. Participates in patient care conferences and program development, completes required documentation, and adheres to company policies, procedures, and current clinical practice standards.
Role Summary:
Provide occupational therapy treatments consistent with the professional and ethical standards of the A.O.T.A. for Occupational Therapy Assistants while ensuring quality patient care.
Contribute to treatment planning, progression, and discharge planning to support continued care and provide patient/family instruction; perform all duties and responsibilities of an OTA.
Maintain accurate documentation to support medical record quality, continuity of care, and reimbursement guidelines.
Coordinate with other disciplines and department staff to promote effective, comprehensive patient care and a strong team philosophy.
Effectively communicate with patients, families, department staff, company personnel, department heads, and visitors; represent the Occupational Therapy Department and attend care conferences as requested.
Maintain clinical expertise through continuing education; supervise students and volunteers and delegate work assignments, responsibilities, and patients to support staff as needed.
Secure necessary patient equipment and department supplies.
Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications:
Successful completion of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
Licensure as required by the State of Ohio Skills and Abilities:
Ability to exercise professional judgment and initiative when analyzing problems and recommending solutions
Initiative and flexibility in the work environment
Ability to react effectively to the needs of patients and their families
Physical ability to bend, position, transfer, and lift patients weighing 80 pounds to over 300 pounds without restriction, utilizing clinically recommended lifting devices Employee Benefits:
