We are seeking a skilled Conventional / Manual Machinist to join a premier manufacturing team in Morgantown, WV. This is a Direct Hire position with excellent benefits and clear room for advancement.

Location: Morgantown, WV (100% On-site)

Shift: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

Setup & Operation: Independently set up and operate conventional machine tools, including engine lathes, manual milling machines, drill presses, and grinders.

Blueprint Interpretation: Read and accurately interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and complex work orders to plan machining steps.

Precision Machining: Execute precise threading, boring, drilling, milling, turning, and facing operations on metal components.

Quality Inspection: Inspect your own finished parts using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and gauges) to guarantee exact dimensions.

Maintenance & Safety: Perform routine preventative maintenance on shop equipment and maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Job Requirements (Filters)

Must Have (Non-Negotiable)

Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Manual Experience: Proven hands-on experience setting up and operating conventional/manual machine tools (engine lathes and milling machines are mandatory).

Technical Skills: Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings.

Precision Metrology: Proficient in using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, dial indicators) to machine parts to close tolerances with high accuracy.

Aptitude: Strong mechanical aptitude and independent troubleshooting skills.

Logistics: Must be local to the Morgantown, WV area or within a reasonable daily commuting distance. No relocation assistance or visa sponsorship available.

Nice to Have (Pluses that stand out)

3+ years of conventional machining experience.

Experience machining custom, prototype, or industrial repair parts.

Basic CNC machine knowledge or exposure.

Welding or fabrication experience.

Background with tool and die work.

Material knowledge of various metals (steel, stainless steel, aluminum, brass, and bronze).

Vocational training or technical certification in machining.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods during the shift.

Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds.

Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive movements safely around moving machinery.
