The Opportunity

Our Client is a rapidly growing Australian civil construction contractor delivering complex projects across the mining and heavy industry sectors. With experience delivering projects valued from $1 million to more than $100 million, Our Client partners with Tier 1 organisations on major projects throughout Australia.

Supported by a strong pipeline of upcoming work and continued national growth, Our Client is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join its team in Orange, New South Wales.

This is a residential position operating on a 5:2 day-shift roster, providing the opportunity to contribute to challenging civil and mining projects while maintaining a strong work-life balance and being home each weekend.

Applicants must currently reside in Orange or be willing to relocate to the area.

About the Role:

Working closely with Project Managers, Supervisors and site teams, you will coordinate project activities, manage technical and compliance requirements, and support the safe and efficient delivery of projects.

You will contribute to complex civil and mining projects, taking responsibility for planning, coordination and execution across infrastructure, concrete and mining services works.

Key Responsibilities:

* Support the safe, timely and cost-effective delivery of projects.

* Work closely with Project Managers and Supervisors to improve project sequencing and productivity.

* Provide practical technical advice and resolve engineering issues on site.

* Coordinate project planning, resources, subcontractors and daily site activities.

* Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports and records.

* Manage quality assurance, inspection and compliance requirements.

* Monitor project progress against programs, budgets and contractual requirements.

* Build effective working relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and other stakeholders.

* Identify opportunities to improve construction methods, productivity and project outcomes.

* Ensure activities comply with workplace health and safety, environmental and quality requirements.

Skills and Experience:

To be considered for this position, you will have:

* A recognised degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a closely related discipline.

* At least five years of experience delivering civil, concrete, infrastructure or mining projects.

* Previous experience working as a Project Engineer or Civil Engineer.

* Strong technical knowledge and practical site-based engineering capability.

* The ability to coordinate multiple work areas and make sound decisions under pressure.

* Experience managing project documentation, quality assurance and compliance processes.

* Strong communication skills and confidence working with site crews, clients and senior management.

* A practical, proactive and results-focused approach.

* A strong understanding of work health and safety, quality and regulatory requirements.

* The right to work in Australia or eligibility to obtain the appropriate Australian work visa.

Highly Regarded:

The following experience will be viewed favourably:

* Experience with project programming, scheduling or project management software.

* Previous experience delivering civil infrastructure projects.

* Experience working on mining, heavy industry or concrete construction projects.

* Experience working in regional, remote or FIFO environments.

* Willingness to relocate to Orange, New South Wales.
