Electrical Technician
Hiring Basis: 6-month contract to permanent basis, or possible direct hire.

Shift: First Shift-7am-3:30pm Monday-Friday
Pay: $33-$38/Hourly/W2
Lotus Technical has a 6-month contract to permanent, or possible direct hire role for an Electrical Technician for our manufacturing client located in Maple Grove, MN. Must be US Citizen or Green Card Holder.
SUMMARY
Seeking a skilled and dependable Electrical Technician to join our manufacturing team. This is not an entry-level position. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience wiring large industrial machinery or capital equipment and possess the technical knowledge to interpret electrical schematics, install complex electrical systems, and troubleshoot electrical assemblies throughout the manufacturing process. This position requires a hands-on professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and takes pride in building high-quality, custom equipment.
JOB DUTIES
Perform complete electrical assembly and field wiring of large industrial capital equipment.
Read, interpret, and accurately follow electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, layout drawings, and bills of material.
Install and route conduit, cable trays, wire harnesses, sensors, motors, VFDs, switches, relays, control panels, and other electrical components.
Terminate and label wiring according to engineering drawings and company standards.
Perform point-to-point wiring and verify electrical connections.
Troubleshoot electrical systems during assembly and assist with startup and testing of completed machines.
Work closely with Engineering, Controls Engineers, and Mechanical Assembly teams to resolve design or assembly issues.
Maintain high standards for workmanship, quality, and safety.
Identify opportunities to improve assembly processes and provide recommendations for continuous

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 3 years of electrical assembly experience wiring large industrial machinery, automation equipment, OEM equipment, or other capital equipment.
Associate's Degree (2-year Technical Degree) in Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, Automation, or a related technical field.
Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems and electrical assembly practices.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
Experience installing industrial control panels and field wiring electrical devices.
Knowledge of AC/DC circuits, motors, sensors, relays, contactors, PLC I/O devices, and industrial controls.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
Must be US Citizen, or Green Card Holder.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
Experience building custom industrial machinery.
Familiarity with PLC-controlled equipment and industrial automation.
Experience using electrical testing equipment such as multimeters and megohm meters.
Knowledge of NFPA 70, NEC, and industrial electrical safety practices.
Experience in a lean manufacturing environment.
