Supplier Quality Engineer

Supplier Quality Engineer at Advantest is responsible for the technical elements and contents of supplier management throughout all product life cycle phases. By assuring the availability of high-quality procurement electronic components along with the required supplier and supply chain capabilities, the dynamic business needs are supported.

Responsibilities:

Cross functional interface between Suppliers & Contract Manufacturers & internal departments such as R&D, Manufacturing, Product Engineering.

Supplier and part selection, auditing and qualification, quality assurance processes, test strategy/plan, performance control points, etc.

Development, maintenance and sharing of technical expertise on electrical and electronic components within Advantest

Performance assurance according to specifications; assures quality and reliability throughout the materials supply chain (from component to product level)

Change control (Component Life Cycle Management), component risk reviews, part number setup etc.

Support for technical contracting elements

Requirements:

Bachelor/Master degree or University Degree or equivalent with the subjects of Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Physics, Material Science or similar

know-how of electric/electronic components

Analytical and systematical working style to solve technical issues

Team player, experienced in working cross functional

Superior communication skills (cross-functional, supply chain, cross-cultural) across hierarchy levels

Proactive working style, and ability to work on multiple tasks in parallel

Self-motivated

Self-management, setting proper priorities

fluent written and oral communication skills in English (German language skills would be a plus)

good communicator, presenting skills

Interest in topics, e.g. prices, Leadtime, Assurance of Supply, quality

understanding of electronic manufacturing and test processes
