Senior Python/Java Developer

**Location:** Columbus, Ohio (Onsite)

Role Overview

This role involves leading development efforts for Python and Java-based applications within cloud environments. The position will focus on designing and building scalable solutions, supporting data movement, and partnering with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions. The senior developer will also provide mentorship to junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead development for Python and Java applications in AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform.

- Design and construct scalable solutions using RESTful APIs and data integration patterns.

- Support data movement and ETL processes through both file-based and API-driven methods.

- Collaborate with teams to align technical solutions with business requirements and enterprise architecture.

- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.

- Contribute to system design discussions and architectural decisions.

- Ensure solutions adhere to internal security, compliance, and regulatory standards.

- Maintain a working knowledge of the technology stack to support technical inquiries.

Required Qualifications

**Experience:** 10+ years of software development experience.

**Technical Skills:**

- Hands-on development experience in both Python and Java.

- Experience working within cloud environments, including AWS and/or GCP.

- Understanding of RESTful APIs and integration patterns.

- Experience with data movement and ETL processes.

- Demonstrated ability to mentor less experienced developers.

- Problem-solving skills in complex technical environments.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience migrating legacy systems into Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.

- Exposure to enterprise architecture practices and governance frameworks.

- Experience operating within regulated environments such as financial services or banking.
