Experience: 2 years of MS/Tele experience required; Float Pool experience preferred; PCU/Step Down experience preferred.

License: Valid SC nursing license required.

Certifications: BCLS, ACLS required.

Must-Have:

Telemetry monitoring experience required.

Self-scheduling and blocked scheduling allowed.

Patient/Nurse ratio of 1:6, with flexibility to 1:7 when necessary.

No first-time travelers for float positions.

Preferred no requests for time off during holidays, although consideration may be given for one holiday.

Locals accepted at the same rate.

Description: The MS/Tele Float position involves floating to various medical/surgical and telemetry units as needed. Candidates must have a valid nursing license in hand. Responsibilities include monitoring patients with medical, surgical, and cardiac diagnoses. Candidates should have strong IV management skills; RT covers specialty IV. Experience with telemetry monitoring on the unit is essential. Candidates will work with adult patients and may handle various procedures and equipment. Required skills include managing cardiac drips, interpreting dysrhythmias, and administering blood products. The float position requires flexibility in floating to other inpatient units within the organization. Employees will be part of an interdisciplinary team, collaborating with professionals from various disciplines. Additional duties may include managing central lines, chest tubes, and performing patient assessments. Candidates must exhibit strong communication and critical thinking skills. The position also entails adhering to established protocols and providing high-quality patient care.
