The Cyber Security Engineer plays a pivotal role in fortifying the integrity of the company's network, data, and information systems. This involves implementing robust measures to safeguard against cyber security risks, threats, and vulnerabilities, ensuring the resilience and security of the organizations' digital infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and manage security infrastructure, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, VPNs, and endpoint security solutions.
Conduct regular security assessments, risk assessments, vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and address potential vulnerabilities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into the development and deployment processes.
Monitor security alerts and incidents and respond promptly to mitigate potential threats.
Provide security guidance and support to other teams within the organization.
Required Qualifications:
At least 2 years of proven experience as a Cybersecurity Engineer or in a similar role.
Strong understanding of networking protocols, encryption, authentication, and security technologies.
Hands on experience with security technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus software.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Ability to respond quickly to emerging security threats and incidents.
Preferred Qualifications:
A degree related to Psychology or Sociology is preferred, bringing a unique perspective to the intersection of human behavior and cybersecurity.
