Maintenance Officer

Job Summary

The Maintenance Officer is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of buildings, equipment, machinery, and facilities to ensure a safe, clean, and efficient working environment. The role includes performing preventive maintenance, responding to maintenance requests, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine inspections of buildings, equipment, and facilities.

Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and general building systems.

Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs.

Diagnose faults and recommend appropriate repair solutions.

Coordinate with external contractors and service providers when specialized repairs are required.

Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and equipment service history.

Monitor inventory of maintenance tools, equipment, and spare parts.

Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.

Conduct regular safety inspections and report potential hazards.

Assist in planning and scheduling maintenance activities to minimize operational disruptions.

Support renovation and improvement projects as required.

Ensure all maintenance work is completed within established timelines and quality standards.

Qualifications

Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.

Relevant maintenance certifications are an advantage.

Valid driver's licence (if required).
