construction labourer

We are seeking a motivated Construction Labourer to join our dynamic team. This role involves supporting various construction projects by performing physical tasks, assisting skilled tradespeople, and ensuring job sites are safe and efficient. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and basic knowledge of construction-related tools and techniques. This position offers valuable hands-on experience in the construction industry and opportunities for skill development across multiple trades.

Tasks

Load, unload and transport construction materials

Measure weight to prepare for rigging and hoisting

Operate mobile and tower cranes to lift, move, position or place equipment and materials

Perform pre-operational inspection

Read blueprints to determine work requirements

Clean and lubricate cranes

Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks shoring and barricades

Operate pile driving cranes to drive pilings into earth to provide support for buildings and other structures

Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt

Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites

Level earth to fine grade specifications

Pave and rake asphalt

Assist in demolishing buildings

Clean and pile salvaged materials

Perform routine maintenance work

Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants

Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites

Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction

Direct traffic at or near construction sites

Languages: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years

Starting Date as soon as possible
