Machine Operator (Big Bench): Montgomery, Illinois

Our customer in Montgomery, Illinois, is seeking motivated individuals to join their team. We’re recruiting Machine Operators (Big Bench) to work full-time on 2nd shift. As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating large bench-style machines to produce precision metal parts while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities of the Machine Operator (Big Bench):

Set up and operate large-scale bench machines used to machine metal parts and components.

Monitor machine operations to ensure parts meet quality and precision standards.

Perform basic adjustments and troubleshooting to keep equipment running efficiently.

Follow production schedules and work instructions accurately.

Inspect finished parts to verify quality and conformance to specifications.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment.

Machine Operator (Big Bench) Requirements and Qualifications:

Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred.

Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.

Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Willingness to train on 1st shift before transitioning to 2nd shift.

Ability to meet dress code and safety requirements including steel-toed shoes and PPE.

Ability to pass a 4-panel drug test.

Pay for Machine Operator (Big Bench):

$21.00/hour.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 2:30pm – 12:00am. Training will take place on 1st Shift. Possible overtime on 3 out of 4 Saturdays per month, with shifts ranging from 8–12 hours.
