CT/X-Ray Technologist
Cary Medical Center is seeking a skilled CT/X-Ray Technologist to join our team. In this role, you will perform Computed Tomography procedures for inpatients and outpatients, prioritizing high-quality outcomes, patient safety, and exceptional customer service.

Essential Job Duties:
Completes computed tomography (CT) procedures following departmental protocols
Confidently explains CT procedures to customers
Accurately and consistently completes required CT paperwork
Assists the Front Office staff in insuring orders for CT procedures are appropriate
Maintains current standards of practice through review of current literature, including information on best practice
Completes IV starts and IV management following hospital protocol for contrast material administration
Administers appropriate contrast material required to complete CT procedures
Confidently explains possible IV problems and possible contrast material reactions to customers
Performs daily, monthly, quarterly quality control as appropriate
Communicates examination outcomes to Radiologists appropriately
Oversight of inventory (medical supplies and other supplies)
Participates in quality management oversight and data acquisition
Bring issues and potential solutions to the attention of the Manager of Imaging Services
Demonstrates outstanding professional behaviors
Maintains processor operation
Completes assigned CT duties efficiently and effectively
Attends departmental meetings with the Manager of Imaging Services and the Medical Director of Imaging Services as requested.
Complies with local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
Requirements:
State of Maine Radiologic Technology License
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification
CPR Certification
Availability:
Sunday through Saturday per shift assigned. Call required on a rotating basis.
In consideration of our patients' and staff needs, you may be required to work days, evenings, nights, weekends, and/or holidays, and may need to float to other units.
