Civil Engineer, P.E.

Location: Mobile, AL

Impact Recruitment is partnering with a growing multidisciplinary engineering firm seeking an experienced Civil Engineer, P.E. to join its team in Mobile, Alabama.

This position offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of municipal, county, state, and federal infrastructure projects while collaborating with a team of engineering professionals focused on delivering innovative civil engineering solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hydrology, hydraulics, stormwater management, and public infrastructure design.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the design, development, implementation, and analysis of civil engineering projects.

Prepare engineering evaluations, cost estimates, technical reports, and project documentation.

Design and analyze stormwater management systems, including ponds, drainage, collection, and conveyance systems.

Support roadway and transportation design projects.

Contribute to water and wastewater infrastructure planning and design efforts.

Coordinate with regulatory agencies regarding permitting requirements and permit application preparation.

Assist with project management, budgeting, scheduling, and client coordination.

Collaborate closely with engineers, designers, surveyors, and support staff to deliver successful projects.

Develop and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and technical expertise.

Ensure projects comply with applicable engineering standards, regulations, and client requirements. Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.

Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Florida or the ability to obtain Florida licensure through reciprocity.

8-10 years of civil engineering experience, preferably within the public infrastructure sector.

Strong experience in stormwater management, drainage design, hydrology, and hydraulics.

Understanding of water/wastewater systems and transportation engineering principles.

Experience working with permitting agencies and regulatory requirements.

Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft 365 preferred.

Experience with ICPR or other hydraulic/hydrologic modeling software is highly desirable.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Compensation & Benefits
