#Hiring: Litigation Attorney ️

Location: Houston, TX

Salary: $190,000–$220,000 (OTE: $285,000–$440,000)

Schedule: Full-time Hybrid

Central Texas Recruiting is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to support a growing litigation practice focused on health law, premises defense, and employment litigation matters. This role offers direct client interaction, significant case ownership, and opportunities for first-chair trial responsibility while handling complex defense-side litigation from pleadings through trial.

You will manage a diverse caseload, develop litigation strategy alongside firm leadership, and drive cases toward successful resolution while enjoying a highly competitive compensation structure and flexible hybrid work environment.

Key Responsibilities

Manage litigation matters from intake through trial

Defend healthcare providers, employers, and institutional clients

Develop and execute litigation strategies with firm leadership

Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and legal filings

Take and defend depositions

Manage discovery, hearings, and case preparation

Analyze complex legal and factual issues

Maintain direct client communication and case updates

Support trial preparation and courtroom proceedings

Qualifications & Requirements:

Active Texas Bar License Required

Education & Experience:

JD from an ABA-accredited law school

7+ years of post-JD litigation experience

Defense-side litigation experience required

Experience in at least two of the following: health law, premises defense, or employment litigation

First-chair trial or significant hearing experience preferred

Meaningful law firm litigation experience required

Technical Skills & Competencies:

Experience taking and defending depositions

Strong motion practice and litigation strategy skills

Familiarity with Texas state and federal court procedures

Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills

Ability to clearly communicate legal strategy and case developments

Working Conditions:

Hybrid schedule with 1–2 days per week in the Houston office

Direct client interaction and significant case ownership
