Fiber Installation Technician

Pay: $20-$24/hour

MasTec Advanced Technologies is hiring Fiber Installation Technicians to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair fiber optic and cable services for residential and commercial customers. This is a hands-on field position offering paid training, company-provided equipment, and opportunities for career growth.

Responsibilities

Install, splice, terminate, and test fiber optic cables and equipment

Troubleshoot and repair fiber and coaxial network issues

Perform service installations, upgrades, maintenance, and disconnects

Complete accurate documentation, reporting, and inventory tracking

Provide excellent customer service and technical support

Follow all company safety procedures and industry standards

Operate company vehicles and travel throughout assigned service areas

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required

Experience with fiber optic installation, splicing, termination, or FTTH deployments preferred

Knowledge of fiber optic equipment, networking, and troubleshooting techniques

Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record

Ability to pass a drug screen, background check, and MVR review

Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions

Ability to lift up to 80 lbs., climb ladders up to 36 feet, and work at heights

Willingness to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, overtime, and holidays as needed
