Our Client is looking for a Production Supervisor for a full time role in Columbus, OH

This is a hands-on third-shift production supervisor overseeing approximately 10–15 union employees in Franklin's Polymer Plant. The department uses chemical reactors to produce large batches of glue, finished products, and base materials that are sent elsewhere in the plant. The coordinator keeps third-shift production moving by assigning work, distributing batch sheets, coordinating with the scheduler, managing attendance and staffing issues, and ensuring employees follow safety, quality, and production procedures.

Qualifications

College degree and five (5) years technical manufacturing leadership experience or equivalent work experience.

Required Skills

Previous manufacturing leadership or production-supervision experience.

Experience directly managing hourly plant employees.

Willingness and ability to work third shift: 11:00 PM–7:30 AM.

Comfortable supervising in a union manufacturing environment.

Strong employee-relations and conflict-management skills.

Experience handling attendance issues, call-offs, FMLA situations, and shift coverage.

Ability to coordinate production schedules and assign labor appropriately.

Comfortable working primarily on the plant floor around noise, chemicals, odors, and temperature changes.

Strong enough technically to understand batch processes, production instructions, and plant systems.

Must genuinely want this specific third-shift role—not view it only as a quick path to another position.

Preferred Skills

Chemical, polymer, adhesives, coatings, paint, resin, or batch-manufacturing experience.

Experience working with chemical reactors.

Union-environment experience.

OSHA, hazardous-material, chemical-handling, or environmental-compliance knowledge.

Experience using Dayforce or a similar timekeeping and attendance system.

Experience partnering with scheduling, maintenance, quality, engineering, and labor relations.
