Wireless Software Engineer

is seeking an individual for the position in the Engineering Group, specifically within Systems Test Engineering.General Summary:This position is not eligible for Qualcomm immigration sponsorship.Responsibilities:Perform system level testing for wireless connectivity products, especially WLAN and Bluetooth.Test protocol functionality, end-to-end system behavior, performance, physical layer, and RF features.Develop and execute test cases under various operational scenarios.Analyze results, debug issues, and provide recommendations.Enhance and automate test procedures and analysis tools.Work closely with system, software, hardware, and RF engineers to support commercialization and product launches.Technical Skills:Required: Background in digital communications, networking knowledge, wireless communications, TCP/IP, strong debugging and problem-solving skills.Preferred: WLAN technologies (802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be), OFDMA and MIMO concepts, test automation experience, WLAN packet/sniffer analysis, programming in Python.Experience:1 to 2 years of hands-on system testing and debugging experience is considered a plus.Experience with WLAN and Bluetooth testing is preferred.Experience developing automated test solutions and/or Python programming skills.Education:MSEE (Master's in Electrical Engineering) preferred.MSCE (Master's in Computer Engineering) with testing experience is also suitable.Soft Skills:Strong verbal and written communication.Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.Adaptability and willingness to take on diverse assignments.Analytical thinking and attention to detail.Typical Qualcomm WLAN System Test Focus Areas:WLAN/BT system validationTest automation frameworks using PythonWireless protocol analysisPerformance benchmarkingRF and PHY validationEnd-to-end feature verificationCompetitive analysis and issue triageMinimum Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits: $104,200.00 - $156,200.00
